All of the pages created by The Net Effect are written using HTML - Hyper Text Markup Language. This is the language used on the World Wide Web to provide content which is platform independent, meaning that (in theory) it shouldn't matter what you're using to access the content of the document - the information should still make sense, and be useful to you.

Bearing in mind that we're talking about a Web which is truly World Wide, it shouldn't surprise you to learn that there are several hundred different Graphical Web Browsers available, for a multitude of differing computer systems. In addition, new technologies are being introduced all the time; WebTV is one example, which enables Web pages to be accessed via a television set, another is Web-to-speech, frequently used by those who are sight-impaired, but also available for use when you're stuck in that traffic jam on the way to the office - or perhaps via your personal 'webwalkman' on the train.

A Validated Web Document is one which corresponds with the appropriate recommendations, as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium, the W³C. By validating the code we write against the published recommendations, The Net Effect creates content which is more likely to render usefully in your choice of browser, whatever that might be.

A further advantage of creating validated HTML is that it provides what we term 'future-proofing' of the information content. Since the code we write follows the recognised standard it is capable of being readily converted into other data formats - such as the much-hyped XML (eXtended Markup Language).

All of the pages on our own Website (and on many of those of our clients) contain an image link to an on-line, totally independent validation service. Since it is independent, it allows you to check whether we are as good as our word. If you want to, you can follow the link to check our HTML.
